Tri-Weapon Fencing

The Tri-Weapon Club is the only fencing club in the Baltimore-Washington-Annapolis area designed for boys rather than adults. As our name says, we specialize in not one, but all three fencing weapons: foil, épée and sabre.
Membership in the club is limited to boys from ages 9-17 (or senior year in high school), although boys younger than 9 may be accepted in certain instances.
Since the club was formed in 1960, TWC fencers have excelled at the national, sectional, and local levels. They have won the state team titles, dominated the state age-group championships year after year, and won medals in sectional tournaments. Twelve boys thus far have been able to attend college because of their fencing talent, and TWC has three National Under-16 champions to its credit.
Three of the top four places in the 1993 U.S. National sabre championship were taken by TWC graduates, and two of these men also fenced on the 1988 and 1992 United States Olympic teams.  We are very proud of our program and our history that has produced outstanding fencers and scholars.
Modern fencing is a tough combat sport requiring tremendous speed, timing and stamina. It teaches you to think on your feet and to control your mental and physical reactions.

The swashbuckling drama of individual combat, the good feeling of team victory . . . . a long tradition of honor and sportsmanship . . . . learning a sport that's special.
Welcome to the Tri-Weapon Club!
